Source administration ("Sourceverwaltung") for programming on mainframes

Description:

The roots of some programming languages still in use today originated decades ago.
Such is the case with COBOL, where users must make do with correspondingly outdated consoles.
Operation is exhausting, time-consuming and unprofitable.

On-Ergy created with SOVA a programming environment, in which applications with programming languages
like COBOL can be developed within a graphic user interface.
The differences are revolutionary much like the jump from DOS to Windows.

Look and usability match today’s standards and the many useful functions can be implemented intuitively
within a very short time. The users reach their goals more easily, safely and quickly.
Companies save cash.

Operation consists of the following three parts:

  • Administration for establishing specific, unchanging parameters
  • Editor based on the Eclipse Editor with navigation support and syntax highlighting
  • Repository for administrating all types of sources and linking individual pieces of information

Technology/Programming:
Implemented database(s): DB2
Programming languages: JAVA (Eclipse Rich Client Platform) and XML
Supported operating systems: Windows and UNIX

Software type:
Software supporting program development and administration
