AUDI AG is a worldwide operating developer and manufacturer of high-quality and technically innovative cars with its headquarters based in Ingolstadt and a registered office in Neckarsulm. Further important production sites are Brussels, Györ (Hungary) and Changchun (China). The year 2007 was a very successful one for Audi, right from the start. In the first six months the company's turnover reached an all-time high of around 17.4 billion Euros and more than 509,000 vehicles were delivered to its customers. Audi's growth was accompanied by a steady expansion of the production sites, which today employ more than 52,700 people.
The current model range comprises the series Audi A3, A4, A5, A6 and A8 as well as the sports car Audi TT which is available in a variety of different body, configuration and additional performance types. In 2006 Audi added the Q7, an innovative SUV, to its product range, making it even lager. The mid-motor sports car Audi A8, which was introduced onto the market in April 2007, quickly became an iconic brand. The company has set ambitious objectives for the future: in 2008, Audi wants to hit the mark of selling more than one million cars on the global market. Becoming the most successful premium automobile manufacturer by 2015 is the dedicated aim of AUDI AG.
